FilmL.A. Adds Monrovia to its Growing List of Clients

from: FilmLA eNews

The City of Monrovia has approved an agreement with FilmL.A., establishing the not-for-profit as the film permit coordinator for the area.  FilmL.A. will now accept applications for permits to film within the Monrovia city limits.

The 13.7 square mile city is located 20 miles northeast of Los Angeles at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, Monrovia is part of the San Gabriel Valley, just eight miles east of the City of Pasadena in Los Angeles County.

Monrovia’s Old Town is the heart of the community. Revitalized in the 1970s, it has become a source of local pride. Monrovia also boasts a retail district along Myrtle Avenue and restaurants row in Town Square. This growing city of nearly 40,000 residents — birthplace of major brands such as McDonald’s, Trader Joes, Original Tommy’s and Naked Juice — continues to distinguish itself from other communities with its peaceful, small-town charm.

A selection of publicly-owned Monrovia area properties are currently being cataloged for inclusion in FilmL.A.’s online location library, LocoScout.com.

FilmL.A. is honored to represent a city with such a rich history and culture.
