Los Angeles Wins Awards at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards

LOS ANGELES – January 12, 2015 – Los Angeles based projects fared well at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, which aired yesterday. L.A. based film and television productions were nominated in 14 categories including Best Performance by an Actress-Motion Picture and Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. By the end of the evening, five awards went to L.A. based productions.

Regional winners in film were, “Whiplash” which won Best Supporting Actor, J.K. Simmons and “How to Train Your Dragon 2” which won Best Animated Film. In television, “Jane The Virgin” took the Golden Globe for Best Actress, TV Series – Comedy or Musical, Gina Rodriguez, and “Transparent” won in two categories Best TV Series – Comedy or Musical and Best Actor TV Series Comedy, Jeffrey Tambor.
